Meet our Animals!

Goats

Come play with the numerous goats that we have at Minnesota Harvest.  Baxter, Missy, Mitsy, Putz, Dott, and Less (just to name a few).  All of the goats enjoy climbing on our play area and getting fed by the guests.

Sheep

At Minnesota Harvest we have four sheep.  Shaggy is our hybrid, this means that he is extremely large.  Our others names are Bubba, George, and Sophie.  The female sheep is called a ewe and a male sheep is called a ram.  All of our sheep will be your best friend if you have corn to feed them.  They will eat right out of the palm of your hand.  Did you know a sheep’s “hair” is called wool and wool is used to make sweaters, coats and other types of clothing?

Llama

Hello my name is Ferbie! Don’t worry I DO NOT SPIT.  I’m very nice and love to get attention from everyone.  Notice my big eyes and long eye lashes.  In South America llamas like me are ridden like we ride horses in this country.

Colt

We have a new addition to our Minnesota Harvest family.  See our baby colt Apollo and his mom Babe.  Both mom and baby love attention from all of the many visitors.

Mini Donkey

Hi my name is Jenny! I have been at Minnesota Harvest for 5 years. To be a mini, a donkey must be less than 36 inches tall at the shoulders.  A male donkey is called a Jack; a female is called a Jennet or a Jenny (that is how I got my name).  The life span of a miniature donkey is approximately 25-35 years.

Fun for all ages!
